The weather is fast turning colder than a scorned lovers heart, and we all know winter is the month for comfort food. I often find that during the colder months, I’m more likely to stray from my healthy eating path. So to prevent that, I’m on the hunt for the ultimate healthy comfort food. So I introduce to you, the cauliflower grilled cheese.
I’ve seen this recipe floating around my social media channels for some time now, and I’ll be honest that I’ve tried it once before…and failed miserably. So miserably that I sat on the kitchen floor and cried like a 5 year old when it didn’t work. I need to also clarify the reason it didnt work…me…I am the reason, because I didn’t follow instructions and thought I was cooler than the process. YOU ARE NOT COOLER THAN THE PROCESS NATALIE! Needless to say, the second time was a hit!
I know for a lot of people, the idea of switching bread for cauliflower may seem like utter torture, but the difference is taste is barely noticeable, and you can enjoy guilt free! Add a little tomato soup and you’re about to have yourself a good time!
I know it seems like a lot of work, but it really truly is worth it. And, I was so full after I didn’t have to eat again for about 6 hours. Make 110% sure that you get every last inch of the water out of the cauliflower, or you may fail like Hannah Heart did in this video
See, so it’s not only be that messed it up, Hannah just does it with more style hahahaha.
I love adding some bacon and then dipping in some fresh zesty guacamole! Or you could even give it a sweet swing and dip a plain grilled cheese into some chutney.
