You’re in bed, your sheets are perfectly crease-less, your pillow is perfectly puffy and you’re as toasty as toast on a Sunday morning. But then it hits, the back itch. You begin to weigh up the pro’s and con’s of if it’s worth it to scratch and risk the warm air escaping. Ok, maybe if you close your eyes the itch will disappear. No. Still there, is it getting itchier? It is, it’s totally getting itchier! Urrrrrrrrrg, the itch wins and you gently try to scratch without letting the dreaded cold air in, but you lose and now you’re cold again! Now I’m not the kind of girl that has the time or patience to slather cream on my body every night. So I needed to find something that would eliminate my dry skin, but didn’t mean extra work. Meet my new best friend Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner, the latest offering from Lush.

If you’ve never heard about a body conditioner, guuuurl, I was with you on that one. But it intrigued me so I popped it into my basket and took it home with me. If you have ever been into a Lush store, you’ll know that it smells like actual unicorn farts. It was no surprise that Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner smelt like the Beast’s rose garden. Absolutely enthrallingly beautiful.

I hopped into the shower, did my usual routine. Wash hair, wash body, twerk, brush teeth, belt Mariah, contemplate if I could have a singing career, laugh at my own hilarious jokes, grab Ro’s. A body conditioner works in the same way that a hair conditioner would. You slather it onto the skin and let it sit for a bit (I washed my face and made a father christmas beard) and then you rinse it off. The first thing I noticed was that the formulation is exactly like a hair treatment consistency. So instead of trying to contain oil in your hands, you can scoop out the product. I noticed that a little goes a long way, well on my body any way. Its probably because my limbs are so short. When you rinse the conditioner off, it leaves your skin silky soft. The scent is so subtle, that it wafts gently past your nose throughout the day. The product doesnt leave a dense greasy film on the skin, but whatever residue is left behind, gently absorbs into the skin throughout the day. I patted my skin dry to make sure I didn’t remove any of the moisturising goodness.

You can purchase Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner from your nearest Lush store of online. A 225g tub costs just R 295 for this majestical goodness!

What’s your favourite Lush product??

Until next time…
