It’s very rare for me to write two blog posts focused around one product. There’s always a first time for everything, and hey, I did say in my last post I would keep you updated. I have done a few update posts over on my Instagram and Facebook page, are you following me? So what exactly am I talking about? The Avène XeraCalm range for Eczema skin. I honestly didn’t expect much to happen when I first started using the Avène Xera Calm range, to say I was impressed is an understatement. Let’s take a look at where my skin started, where it kept going and where it is now.
As you can see, my skin is 95% clear from eczema on my ring finger, and completely clear on my thumb. Yup, you read that right, my thumb is clear. It’s strange for me to not have to put plasters on the tips of my fingers on a daily basis.
One product that wasn’t featured in the original post, is the newly released Cicalfate Hand Cream. This for me was a huge game changer. Usually when you head out, you don’t want to have to take your entire eczema treatment routine with you. The Cicalfate hand cream is not specially formulated for eczema, but it sure does help. Like with the Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream, this hand cream contains Sucralfate which is a specifically formulated ingredient to help with Epidermal repair. Rich in Avène Thermal Spring water, this hand cream is perfect for dry, chapped hands. The cream absorbs easily into the skin, has no sent and doesn’t leave you with a greasy feeling.
